This is an open community for adult and intelligent discussion around all aspects of the television shows CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami. All fans are welcome, no matter their reasons for watching the show, and tolerance of other fans is the byword for the community. It doesn't matter whether their 'ship is not your 'ship, or that they 'ship while you don't.
Discussions can revolve around episodes, characters and even fanfic. Dissection of canon, motivations and plot arcs is actively encouraged, as is posting of links to interesting articles, pictures, good sites etc. Please do not post fanfiction here, but links to good fiction, either by yourself or by others that you would recommend, is always encouraged, especially if it's Cath/Nick, Warrick/Nick or Grissom/Sara/Greg because the mods are dying for good fic in these pairings.
Your friendly, neighbourhood and not at all insane mods are alyse, ashism and munchkinott. Please feel free to let us know of any problems.
The rules of the community are simple:
i ) respect the views of others in the community. Flaming will not be tolerated. Intelligent and polite discussion is not flaming just because another poster fails to accept that Nick is like the hottest thing ever! (although how they could doubt it is beyond me). Learn the difference.
ii) links to all genres of fanfiction are welcome, however please mark the genre and pairing clearly for those people who, for some reason, don't want to read Hodges/Lady Heather he is so her bitch... literally... woof!. Where posts are not clearly marked, you will be politely asked to edit it. Anyone who follows a clearly marked link and doesn't like what they find will be gently mocked then offered a chill pill
iii) no badmouthing of any characters. Again, intelligent commentary on all aspects of a character, including their less than savoury personality traits, is welcome. All the CSIs have character flaws - if they were perfect they'd be completely boring. In short, 'I think that Sara acted rashly in this episode' is commentary. 'Sara sucks and should just die' is not. Be prepared to back up your opinions and do not attack others for theirs.
iv) all spoilers need to be behind an lj-cut, at least until the current season has finished airing. Remember that Europe is six months behind the States and not everyone is obsessed enough to can download the eps online. Have some consideration for others, but consideration goes both ways. The mods of this community consider spoilers to be posts that give away salient plot points. Userpics will seldom be spoilers unless they show Grissom's bleeding corpse. One or two images from a show do not a spoiler make.
v) spellcheck is your friend. No 'l33tspeak', please, unless it's completely tongue in cheek. We're all adults and while we can squee with best of them, we prefer to do it with at least a pretense at good English. At least while we're sober.
So sign up, start posting and have fun. And while you're at it, why don't you check out the memories section for new members information, polls etc.
